How to root Huawei Ascend P6

At HuaweiNews we have covered the launch of Ascend P6 few weeks ago. Now Ascend P6 is out to public and people around the world carries this beautiful device. Like many Android enthusiasts out there, you might want to root your Ascend P6 to unleash the true powers of your smartphone. Here is how to do it in a very simple way. Also please keep in mind that you might loose your warranty if you root your device and future OTA software updates might not arrive to your phone so you will have to install the updates manually by downloading the updates. So cautions ahead, lets get to work

Its really easy to root Ascend P6 (U06-P6) with a tool like SRS Root or Eroot. First you should install the USB drivers of the phone. Install HiSuite and it will handle the driver installation for you.

• Download SRS root from http://dl.huaweinews.com/Tools/SRSRoot-Setup.zip . Install it on your computer

• Enable USB debugging on your P6 by going in to settings. And also make sure installing apps from unknown sources is allowed on settings. 
• Connect your P6 to the computer. make sure MTP mode is selected on the notifications bar.
• Click the Root button on SRS root and it will take few minutes to root your P6

Congratulations now your P6 is rooted. You will find the busybox and supersu apps on your app drawer. If you have driver issues it wont work so double check your drivers if this doesn’t work for you. It seems like Huawei is trying to patch these exploits with new firmware updates but this method is working for all the current released firmwares including U06V100R001CHNC00B112.
